Wine & Gourmet 2016

Dugladze Wine Company participated in Wine & Gourmet 2016 in Tokyo Japan from April 13-15 at Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center. Altogether 8 Georgian wineries presented their wines to Japan at the exhibition. Though quite new to the local market, many wine importers and distributors have shown their interest in the wines from Georgia which has the longest history of wine-making. Levan Tsintsadze, the Ambassador of Georgia to Japan, was present at the Georgian pavilion, introducing Georgia and its fine wines to the local wine dealers. On April 13, a Georgian wine degustation was held at the seminar session. Giorgi Tevzadze, the representative of the National Wine Agency made a lecture on Georgian wines to the wine distributors and lovers of Japan. Dugladze’s MUKUZANI has drawn attention of many attendees. Some came after the degustation to our booth and told us how much they like this wine. The most frequently used words they use to describe this wine are Oishi (tasty in Japanese) and shocking. In addition to the unique wine-making technology and the outstanding taste of our wines, many visitors have also been amazed by the exquisite designs of our bottles and labels. Many have also expressed their adoration towards the hand-made clay jars.
